Meet the team

Dr. Nicole Davis-Taylor, MA, PhD
Program Director
I am a 23-year veteran educator with experience spanning K–12 through adult education. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
As a classroom teacher, I worked closely with students with developmental disabilities on a daily basis using a co-teaching model. My role extended beyond instruction to active participation in IEP meetings, where individualized supports were collaboratively planned, implemented, and refined. I worked in tandem with IEP Coordinators, Special Education teachers, school administrators, school psychologists, and MTSS coaches, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the special education process from early identification and targeted interventions to the development and implementation of IEPs and accommodations.
Currently, I serve at Prince George’s Community College as a Professor of Education and Fieldwork Coordinator. In this role, I teach courses leading to an Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT), preparing future educators for Special Education classrooms. I draw intentionally on my professional experiences and practical knowledge to bridge theory and practice, ensuring that future educators are well-equipped to support diverse learners effectively.

Mr. Roger O. Taylor, BA, MS
Supervisor
My professional background spans direct care, public service, and leadership roles focused on supporting individuals and families in need. I began my career as a direct care worker and service provider for at-risk youth in North Carolina, where I gained hands-on experience supporting individuals with complex social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This work grounded me in the importance of patience, structure, and person-centered support.
I later served as a law enforcement officer, an experience that strengthened my commitment to advocacy, accountability, and community safety. Building on that foundation, I was appointed Director of the Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Academy under the South Piedmont Community College system, where I led training initiatives, mentored future officers, and emphasized professionalism, ethics, and service-oriented leadership.
Most importantly, I am the legal guardian of my cousin, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I have been an active and consistent part of her care throughout her life advocating for her needs, navigating service systems, and ensuring she has access to appropriate supports and opportunities. This personal experience has profoundly shaped my understanding of the challenges families face and the critical importance of compassionate, high-quality services.
Together, my professional expertise and personal journey fuel my commitment to providing meaningful, respectful, and individualized supports to individuals with disabilities and their families.
